Make polymesh 3D or make Unified skin

After finishing working with ZSpheres ,what must i choose : Make polymesh 3D or make Unified skin. and when i must use each of them .
dose unified skin works good with other programs if i exported it as obj

You actually have three options:

  1. MakePolymesh3D: This takes the preview mesh’s current subdivision level (what you would see if you pressed the A key to see a mesh instead of ZSpheres) and detaches it from the ZSphere structure. It appears as a new item in the Tool palette and has only one subdivision level.

  2. Make Adaptive Skin: This option detaches your model from the ZSpheres. The new item in the Tool palette will be identical to the ZSphere preview, complete with all subdivision levels.

  3. Make Unified Skin: This option ignores the preview mesh entirely, and instead creates a brand new skin based upon the shape that has been blocked out by the ZSpheres and linking spheres, both. It sort of shrink-wraps your ZSphere structure. Parent-child relationships don’t matter with this option, but in order for a ZSphere to contribute to the skin it must not be too small relative to the largest ZSphere in the structure. The quality of the mesh will depend on the settings that you use. For example, a higher resolution means that smaller details will be incorporated into the mesh. Under most circumstances, unified skins have too many polygons to be practical in other applications. Unified skins are usually used to create a custom primitive that you can then refine for use in your ZBrush scenes.

thank you verymuch aurick for good explain. that’s all I need .thanks again

thank you so much for your help! i followed these steps, worked out totally great until i bind the skin, the same problems occurred. then i went back to my zbrush tool, i saw the unified skin option and gave it a try-why not- and it worked! yay! great thanks once again!
