Make Mannequin Problem

Make Mannequin Problem
I used the default ZBrush settings and followed the

procedure below with the end result shown in the image,

Make Mannequin Problem, instead of the one shown in the

image What Problem Should Look Like.
The PM3D_Sphereinder shape appears to be oriented

along its short axis rather than its long axis when

compared to the #AskZBrush - "How do I create a

Mannequin from scratch?" video.
I also followed the “Making your own Mannequin” ZBrush

Docs tutorial and had the same result.
And I could find no information online that addresses this

specific make mannequin problem.
Make Mannequin Procedure

  1. Create the root zsphere.
  2. Append the Sphere3D tool and make it a polymesh.
  3. Append the Sphereinder3D tool and make it a

polymesh.
4. Hide the appended tools and select the root zsphere (in

the Subtool menu).
5. Switch to Move mode.
6. Activate Use Classic Skinning.
7. Click on Insert Local Mesh.
8. Select the PM3D_Sphere3D tool.
9. Switch to Draw mode.
10. Add a zsphere along the y-axis.
11. Switch to Move mode.
12. Move the added zsphere.
13. Select the added zsphere.
14. Activate Insert Connector Mesh.
15. Select the PM3D_Sphereinder tool.
The link-spheres are converted into a shape that is not the
PM3D_Sphereinder shape.
Thanks

PS: This my first post.

Zspheres can be rotated in Rotate mode.

Also, be sure to grab the free upgrade to the most recent version of Zbrush.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am using the latest version of ZBrush.
I reviewed the #AskZBrush - “How do I create a Mannequin from scratch?” video. The orientation of the zspheres are the same as mine, so it appears this is not the issue. Still, I tried to rotate the child zsphere so that it is oriented parallel to the root zsphere, but was unable to do so.
After submitting my question, I expanded my search and found someone who has the same problem as mine. His/hers was submitted under the title: CONNECTOR SHAPE FOR CREATING MANNEQUIN IS NOT ALIGNED RIGHT.

The newest version of Zbrush is currently 2020.1. You are using a previous version.

From Joshep Drust
The position of the model before it’s linked to the ZSphere chain will determine its orientation along the ZSphere chain. With the object depicted in the image on ZBC try rotating the cylinder shape 90° in the X Axis using the Gizmo3D. After it is rotated then go back to your ZSphere chain and relink the rotated mesh as a connector. It should now change the orientation of the cylinder along the chain. If this is still not correct you may need to rotate the cylinder object in different directions until its aligned correctly.
