Has any one had any trouble with activating “magnifier”? When pressing “m” key nothing happens.There is editing options in preferences and movie mode, but can’t seem to activate it.

You have to first activate/tick Magnify in Preferences>Magnify Glass. It won’t stay activated when you close ZBrush, so you have to activate it again whenever you restart ZBrush.
Thanks for you response. In the tutorial video he does’nt mention to press the shift key along with the m key.Also I find that you don’t have to activate every time in start up.I just press the shift m and it works without reactivating.
