Magic: The Gathering - Phyrexia: All Will Be One (Cinematic)

I had the pleasure to create the red Phyrexians for the cinematic of “Magic: The Gathering - Phyrexia: All Will Be One” Cinematic trailer. This was another great cooperation with the fantastic team of Unit Motion Design. I’m so proud, we made something really great here! For presentation purposes I textured them recently. In the project we used materials and displacements on it.

I dived deep into details on these critters, absolute comfort zone area. All the little assymetric details are there even if you vaguely see it in the end. I really loved making this stuff. Besides the creatures I also was responsible for the details on the pillar statues that get flooded by the ‘black oil’.

Besides all red Phyrexian creatures I was also responsible for the details on the pillar statues that get flooded by the ‘black oil’. We only needed details in a sculpture-look on the faces and hands that are on screen and not covered by the liquid sim.

Fantastic stuff, we love seeing ZBrush used like this. I’m particularly a fan of the flying Skitterlings with the swiss cheese wings Thank you for posting all the model views!

Thank you very much, I’m glad you like it. Haha, yes these wings make no sense at all. But they are fun and metal.
