Luce (Italian: [ˈluːtʃe], lit. ‘Light’)

If you’ve been following the news last year, you might have seen that the Vatican introduced Luce, a mascot designed in collaboration with the brand Tokidoki to celebrate the Holy Year 2025, also known as the Jubilee Year. The mascot was also created with the purpose of making Christianity more accessible to younger generations.
Apollo Studio Collectibles was commissioned to design Luce in the form of a figure, based on the original mascot, with all of its meaningful elements carefully included — such as the sailor-style raincoat, mud-stained boots, pilgrim’s staff, rosary with a cross, the dog representing friendship, the dove symbolizing peace, the angel representing God, the seashell-shaped sparkle in the eyes, and the Pellegrini Di Speranza emblem on the raincoat. We did our homework and made sure to capture every single detail.
