Hi
I have a tool which has many ‘undo’ levels to it (history).
If I duplicate the tool in sub-tools a duplicate is created with no undo history (this is normal I believe)
However, the original tool also loses all of its history (this is not normal)
I attempted using ‘copy’ and ‘paste’ with the same results.
I tried using the main "clone’ tool and this also had the same effect (losing all undo history on the main tool being cloned)
I am starting to think that maybe the file is becoming corrupt as it has become over 4gig. Yes, I am getting to the point in this project where undo is no longer going to be of any value to me so it will be turned off or at the very least cleared.
Any idea what is not working right ? I am always prepared to accept that this is operator error (my fault).

On a sub-topic-
I would like to somehow take this problematic tool and make a morph of it from its starting point to its finish point. I am unable to figure out how this is done. (I thought I could use the undo history in some way to create MT but perhaps this won’t work?)
If I click on store MT while the tool is at its starting point I lose all forward history for the tool. And visa-versa… if I try and store an MT at its final worked stage the tool loses all of its history.
If I try and turn on layers, I once again lose all undo history on the tool. (Should have had layers on to begin with but I did not)
I attempted to use z-project brush but the problem is this is a character with mouth closed and finishes with mouth open. So, using the project brush doesn’t work well.
(the object does not change in vertex count for those who might think I am doing something odd. The tool is only 18k polys)
Your help would be appreciated
Thank you
