I might reload and rescale certain fonts - (the ‘r’ and ‘d’), then resave them. It was hard to tell when they weren’t side by side!

:small_orange_diamond: I found setting the fontsize to 25 and the spaceing to 5 worked well for me, and I changed them to be the default.

:small_orange_diamond: I discovered the odd bug when I misspelt a word and tried to undo it and the next letter I typed was two or three spaces away.

:small_orange_diamond: Do you think we could talk Pix into creating DRAWS in the tool palette to load all these fonts into? I want to see if I could create a TOOL MASTER (or a “Tool-belt” would be a cooler name) where most of the Deform tools and Selectontools are in nice big buttons down the bottom of the screen.

Matey, I -REALLY- appreciate your time and brain-power making this!! You’re really talented!!
Magic stuff!! :+1: :+1:
Upham
PS. Back to the ZCaculator!!

Awesome job, Muvlo. I can’t believe all the achievements being made in ZScripting all of a sudden. And the classes haven’t even started yet!

WAY TO GO…

Ive gotta tell ya...Its amazing to part of whats going on in here at the moment. it feels like everytime I log in a new program is added. Full credit to all concerned.

Lets get the press involved guys and get our favorite application a little publicity…I`ll do the UK, you guys mail the rest of the World.

Glen

Thanks.

Upham- Making an auto fontsize and spacing is a top priority thing, hopefully it won’t cause to much headache…

Also, the reason you had the undo problem is because the Zscript places each letter by taking taking last position + spacing setting. When you click the undo button, the Zscript doesn’t realize it. I will add a backspace key soon, maybe later today.

BTW, Southern, I have Southern US covered…

Muvlo, This is coming out fantastic!! Thank you

I don’t have time to upload now, but I have made a new version with a lot of things fixed. A note to anyone who has trouble with this script:
If the letters are hidden in the tool palette, not in the main bay, it will not work. I have found a way around this, and will get that in soon.
Night for now. :white_small_square:

Hey I’m looking forward to seeing the update muvlo!!

Hey … hee hee, I’ve got another idea - which I’m not asking you to make - but just let me get it out of my head …
(I would develop it if I could … give me time) :-

Signature Master!! (working title)

:small_orange_diamond: 1. The User is prompted to record their signature by pressing the script’s record button. This turns on the stroke-record button (in the stroke palette) and creates a new layer and maybe sets up a box-stencil to restrict the size of the users signature.
This also turns on the simple brush tool, and maybe sets the Mouse-Averaging slider to 8 in the Preferances palette.

:small_orange_diamond: 2. The user writes their signature onscreen and presses the OK button or clear button so they can start again, (and the recorded stroke is cleared).

:small_orange_diamond: 3:The recorded stroke is saved somehow (not sure if it can just yet). The new layer is cleared and deleated.

:small_orange_diamond: 4: When the user hits the “write signature” button after finishing their masterpieces, the recorded stroke is loaded back up and played back on a new layer. It is then shrunk (the layer shrunk?) and placed down at the bottom or top of the picture. The layer is also brought right forward so it sits on top.

The playback would have to be a flat white colour using a simplebrush?

Anyway, that’s my thought for the day. Davies ZScript lessons have got the old grey-matter stiring and I’m not quite sure of the boundries just yet.

If you, or anyone wants to make this be my guest! Thanks for letting me rattle the ol’ marbles in my head. (I’ve still got a few thankfully!)

Upham

im going to start calling you the BUTTON MAN if you don’t mind LOL or Muvlo the Button man :+1:

Another very cool idea Upham! You know, a great way to learn Zscripting is to try it yourself and ask manymanymany questions!

Perhaps you should have a crack at it…

BTW, I just realized that somw wierd thing happened to the update script. As I put it into the ZIP it somehow got erased, leaving the original script only. No backup, of course. Now that I know what I’m doing it shouldn’t be to hard to reconstruct it, fortunatly.

Yeah, sorry muvlo. It was a bit cheeky of me to throw that in this tread. You know how the creative juices take over rhyme or reason…

Thanks to Davies lessons I’m on my way to becomming a “coder”. Give me time …

Hey I’m REALLY looking forward to seeing the next revision of this script! Keep up the good work buddy!
Upham

Well, I’ve uploaded the new version. (It’s saved in four seperate locations on my computer now. ;))
You go right on throwing in “cheeky” ideas Upham! Remember, it was such an idea that got this done. Thank you for that!

You’re a good man muvlo!
Thanks bud.
People have been asking for text for ages and this (and EZ’s font master) has filled the void! You’ve made history!
OOpham

Thank you, Upham.

Muvlo! This is an awesome script. Thank you. btw, not to sound unappreciative but there is a small bug. The small x and y are reversed. I think I fixed it on my copy but I thought you should know. Thanks again.
Tony

thanks muvlo way to go on this project… thanks for the mini typewriter…

Thanks Muvlo, I’m just going to download and give it a try. I have not had time to learn a lot about Zscripts myself, but I admire you for taking on this task.
Dave

Again, thanks.

LXIX- you are quite right! Thank you! I have fixed it in the main code, though it may be a little while before I upload the fixed one.
