Howdy all,
I’ve lurked around this place off and on for some time now always coming away scratching my head at all of the creative minds that reside here. I have been strugglin with Zbrush from day one and I’m still no better, I’m sure it’s just me, anyway I was wondering if there are any tutorials around that deal with creating textures for Poser characters using high resolution photographics, I’ve been thinking of going to with deep paint, but figured I’d give it one last try before I bail completely. Any help at all would really be appreciated. I tried using the 3D copy which was really cool, but I don’t know how to get pieces of the photo to go just in the parts where I need it, i.e. eyes, mose, mouth…yea hopeless I know…
Hi
your question is not very simple…or, better, you must search the forum for collect some infos to solve your problem.
I can give you some hint:
- to make texture use TextureMaster (revG) script
- to use real photo as base for your texture search an Aurick post about this…maybe Pilou or Juandel can help us…
- next you must known how to export/import from/to ZBrush/Poser…there’s a lot of info about this.
Start searching the quicklinks section.
hope this helps

Just a trick
Import your photo (if you have the entiere Version of Zbrush!!!)
Grab it
You obtain a texture (+ alpha)
Load Texture Master
Take a brush + your new texture
And paint your object in Texture master
No More simple
You can make this for all part of your 3D objet
Of course look the tutorial about Texture Master inside the prog !
Pilou
Ps Take a look also to this post of Aurick
Texture map for poser in Zbrush
Here is one way that you can do it.
I also used ZBrush extensively in the creation of my Legendary Armor textures. ZBrush was exceptionally useful throughout the process. Along the way, I made three posts about the work in progress. You can find them here:
Hope that helps!
Thanks everyone for your responses, I’ve watched the texturemaster script several times as well as trying to follow the tutorial and I’ve never been able to get very far, it has been awhile since I last tried it so maybe I’ll go back and try it again. I do have the full registered version so I am able to import objs from poser, just that I don’t get very far after that and frustration take hold. Today is a new day so I’ll give it another shot. Aurick thanks for the links, I’ve enjoyed trying some of your tutorials in past…Gulp, guess I’m off to zbrush for the evening…
