Asking this question here because I’ve seen a lot of Zbrush artists make enormous leaps in their art journeys by doing hugely ambitious projects so would love to hear you thoughts. I have a story, characters, setting and dozens of folders of reference. This project has two main goals. The first is to seriously level up and create an entertaining body of work for my portfolio. I’ve been doing life drawing and the fundamentals for a few years now and it simply isn’t enough. I need to really live outside of my comfort zone for about 6-9 months. The second reason is to actually flesh this story out, specific scenes of it, because I genuinely find it funny and think people may enjoy it.
At the moment I’m totally psyched and motivated but a little overwhelmed by the amount of work (and failure) that is going to be needed to complete this project.
So do you have any tips or insights on doing huge projects that are above your current skill level?
