Hello everyone,
I am primarily using Zbrush for low poly modeling, and so its ability to quickly generate multiple LOD meshes from a single high poly mesh would be awesome - if I can get it to fit into my workflow.
Generally speaking I do a high poly (10k tri) model in Zbrush then export an OBJ, import into MS3D to touch up, then open it in Ultimate Unwrap3D for UV Mapping. I then UV map the high poly model and open it back up in MS3D. MS3D has a directx tool plugin that lets me generate lower poly models, but it rather destroys the mesh in the process so I don’t prefer using it. However, it does keep the UV Mapping intact… which saves me a ton of time.
Would anyone happen to know of a different way where I could UV Map in UUW3D one time with a high poly mesh, and still get multiple lower poly meshes out of Zbrush? Thanks a bunch!
