Lock zbrush viewport

Hi guys,

I’m just wondering if there is any way to lock the zbrush viewport so it doesn’t rotate or move. I find it very annoying when I try to render my render passes in zbrush and if I accidentally rotated my model I have to render all my passes again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

You can drop your tool in the canvas (Ctrl+D) or use a marker to store your tool’s position.

With a marker you can edit your tool and then place it in the canvas in it’s marked position

Holding shift will lock you to the standard isometric views.

I commonly would be working on an edge and accidentally hit off the canvas and ruin my perspective causing a readjust. The Shift key fixes my problem because this is much more of an issue when working with reference images.

cheers

I have to say this is a really annoying problem with ZBrush. Especially if you line up a photo ontop, get ready to start doing some tweaks, and your pen doesn’t even touch the tabled and bam the viewport snaps or changes.

So, I found on forums remove the ‘auto select subtool’ which sort of helps.

But seriously this is ANNOYING. Spend all the time aligning an overlay photo using spotlight, then randomly ’ boom’ your tool flies somewhere else.

Is there any REAL way to lock the viewport? The markers just plain well don’t work for me. Thanks.
