Little Elephant

Hello,
I share with you today my last project.
This time, I wanted to test a graphic style different from my usual. This project was done in one day at school; we had to make something in 3D with a common theme : tribal.
As I didn’t have a lot of time, I couldn’t put a lot of details and stayed simple, for both the sculpt and the hand painted textures on Substance painter. It was a lot of fun making this character. I hope you like it !

Very Nice Appeal ! can i ask. many people do that. Create holes in the eyes then they render it and make it realistic. what is the workflow behind it. did you used a sphere with glass shader on the eyes?

thanls ! and yes that’s the way to it that I learned and that many do: a real eye has an actual hole for the pupil area, that’s why it’s black. To fake this in 3d I still do the hole, but I also put a cylinder just behind it and put it to complete black, without any spec value.
The hole also creates a nice border which looks nice. The iris area goes slightly inwards, and above it all there is indeed a sphere with a glass shader. So there are always 3 meshes per eye for my characters ^^
