liquify in zbrush

messin about this morning with the paint tools, trying to find a way to approximate photoshop’s liquify. The smudge brush was close, but tends to blur the image too much.

Instead, I found the hookbrush works very well. The trick is to open the tool modifiers, and turn ‘colour blend’ to 0. I submit this horrible horrible horrible pic as an example…

The only problem is no part of the brush cursor can be outside the canvas, or the tool doesn’t work. Still, this is a great way to do quick corrections/distortions without having to leave zbrush.

Hi Mestela,

Here’s a link to another method that simulates the liquify filter in PS. Have fun!
