Layer bug?

G’night everyone! this post is about some strange behavior I’ve been having with Z3. I have this alien model that:

  1. I take to the lowest subd level
  2. make everything visible Shift + Ctrl click ( otherwise zbrush wont let me create a layer )
  3. make a new layer
  4. sculpt the sorta crown with the new layer active
  5. navigate up the subd levels

and everythings ok!! but when I go down to the lowest subd and turn the layer visibility off, when I navigate up, there’s some sort of residue from the sculpting I did on the layer, which is now not visible… the left is the model on the highest subd level before the layer sculpt, the right is the model after the layer sculpt, but the layer is now not visible, this shouldn’n happen I think!!

I tested these same steps on a Sphere3d tool which I converted to polymesh, and this doesn’t seem to happen. Any solution or workaround??
'Cause it’s really screwing up my idea to have a second version of the alien with a crown.

Cheers!
