Lagging with only 4M polygons

Hello I am new to this program, I come from blender and I am trying out Zbrush for the first time but I find lots of performance issues, I am working on a character that is only 4 million polygons and zbrush drops frames like crazy. I am running it with an i7 8750h 16gb ram and an RTX 2070. When I check the amount of ram used by zbrush is less than 2gb so I dont understand where is the problem? Is there some setting I need to change?

There are a lot of things we don’t know.

For instance, have you enabled dynamic subdivision? This will reduce performance, particularly if enabled on a high resolution mesh.

Otherwise, please try to introduce new elements to a fresh scene one by one, to tell us where they begin to lag.

Keep in mind the Zbrush recommended system specs.

Thank you for your response, I only have one subtool in the project (now is a bit more than 5 million polys) and I have not enabled dynamic subdivision. Zbrush keeps crashing after a while if I try to use zremesher or dynamesh, I already uninstalled and reinstalled. I am using the trial version maybe it has to do with that?
