KPZBrush for the iPhone/iPod Touch - Updated

I just posted a new iPhone/iPod Touch App on the iTunes App Store that makes the workflow within ZBrush easier and more efficient. It’s called “KeyPad for ZBrush” or “KPZBrush” for short. Let me know if you have suggestions on improving it and adding functionality to it. At this point, the app requires ZBrush 3.1+ running on an Intel Mac with Leopard.

Thanks for making the nice iPhone app!
I sent you a message to your personal email.
I would love to speak with you.

Regards,

haha cool, i need an iphone…and a mac.

Hey I just found and brought this on the iTunes store! This is great! It really improves the workflow when working with a wacom tablet! I have my pen in one hand and this keypad in the other. It is taking a while to memorize the keys.

Any chance we could have another screen with just the basic five sliders in a vertical row? eg Stroke-size slider, Intensity slider, Focal shift slider, RGB Intensity slider, Edit On/Off. That way I could hold the phone and use my thumb to quickly dial up the settings.

I do wish you could post a decent picture of this and post it on this trread. Hopefully it’ll be bumped to the Top Row! The Windows server iPhone app would be great! Any sign of that being completed soon?

Magic! Keep up the good work!

I’m just getting into iPhone programming myself!

Upham:)

PS. Its still called “Key-Pod” on the Mac iphone Server under the File menu.

awesome, what a great idea.
I’ve flagged the app to buy when you get windows support.

There doesn’t seem to be anything quite like this. The ability to control so many functions from an external device while maximizing screen space.

…is there any way to use the accelerometer in the iphone to sculpt with?

cheers :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

Pixologic should sell those kind of boards!!!
Like special keyboards for wow junkys but for zbrush ones
I imagine something science fiction like a glove that mounts a multitude
of buttons.
I should invent this

Actually, I use a Wolfking Warrior (gaming keyboard/thing) with AutoHotkey. it’s a pretty nice setup. Although I like the idea of having an OLED screen, I like having tactile feedback since I hit buttons without looking. I don’t think I could really use this iphone app because I’d never be sure if I was hitting the button I needed. Really cool idea though!

i also have used a Nostromo n52, but the buttons are a little clunky/loose not sensitive enough.
so along with my tablet buttons i use a playstation 2 controller using xpadder, i’m thinking about actually mounting the left half into my tablet.
i agree about having a tactile feel if you’re not looking at what you’re touching, even superglued a small nib onto one of my tablet keys for better orientation.
that being said, i don’t know much about this device but if it were able to pull up a one handed keyboard then i’d love it.
to the original poster, i like the idea but the buttons are too noisy, all that reflection etc makes it difficult to tell what you’re looking at with a quick glance.
