Hey guys! I have been recently working on this character. Used Zbrush plus maya for sculpt/modelleing, and rendering was done in marmoset and zbrush.
Always fascinated by orcs, a warrior race I wanted to create a character who have a dramatic past and fighting for a purpose.
Presenting “Koga” and his life story :
Few years ago, a war fought between the Orcs and the humans took place. There were numerous casualties on both sides, with the humans emerging as victorious. The Humans started hunting Orcs, burning their livelihood, forcing the orcs to hide and run.
The humans managed to capture the orc leader name Xull-the Lion Heart. Xull has a wife name Garona, who escaped taking Koga - their newly born child with other Orcs into the dense forest. Xull was executed and ravens were sent flying all over the forests. Garona wept in silence for her beloved husband as the humans were still hunting in the forest. She knew something bad happened to her husband and he might not be coming back. Months passed and the hunting of humans subsided. Garona want revenge, and so started training her son - Koga to be a warrior like his father. She taught him all the tactics and fighting style to become a true warrior.
Koga has become an adult now and is no less then mountain beast. He single handedly devoured the Human city of Paten and recovered his father’s broken sword which was taken away from him after the war. He is the mightiest fighter the humans have ever faced, winning many battles against humans Koga has created a huge army. But seems like the war between the humans and the orcs will never end!
