Na ,ich weissnich,Herr Schmitt(oder war´s Schmidt?) is it

a german thing;if you look at the oriental stuff and so on ,the

old germans must have travelled a lot:lol: .

My internet connection has got interrupted 4 times since i´m

trying to reply ,sorry ,i´ll try it again later!

Ron Harris :glad you like them.As far as i know there´s no

thread where my technique is described.I could do a toot ,but

that would be huge i guess :wink: .I´ll try to post some clues or if

you are really interested i´ll do a toot and e-mail it to your

catfish address.

The Bat-thing is an alpha made of a"tribal"design of mine.

Halil :thank you again!

Well I am serious. I do enjoy your works on this thread. I recently was looking in the art section of a local bookstore and they had a book of celtic knots …I found it very interesting and beautiful. I need to check back and see if it is still there. But at any rate, I love this type stuff. Hints, bones or anything you can throw this way about your method would be appreciated, truly.

thnx

Hi Ron,

If you are a Cinema 4d user; Jurgen Meier (no relation to our friend jmeyer) has an exhaustive site on knots, and spline formulae;
Jurgen’s plugins and tutorials
and a direct link to his Knot plugin for C4D;
Knoten plugin

Another great plugin for Cinema is the Reeper, a rope and knot plugin;

Reeper rope/knot plugin

But if you do not have Cinema, then the defacto Celtic Knot generator is;
Knot Plot

Another great generator with obj exports is GroBoto;
GROBOTO

I forgot to add a good thread here on this forum;
Celtic Knot Zscript
and Cameyo’s wonderful ZPlace2

Oops, almost forgot another one;
ZCURVES

:wink:

Here are the clues :

Pilou
They are a kind of secret agents, it is not a tutorial but these knots are leading them to the next step to rule the world. I tried to post some fake knots but, I do not know why, my computer had a temporal meltdown. Please Pilou, now it’s your turn to save the world, go for it! Please!

…if Bas don’t arrive to post something, that is the end of the world :eek:
Are you in a PK Dick Story? :smiley:
A good night without monsters and tomorrow that will be a new day :wink:

a… aaa…are you sure? No celtic monsters, no more fish in the French rivers? Just only polution? Pffff, I will sleep! :smiley:

Who else can be it except Lemo :wink:

Well Jmeyer is catching up fast

Great thread :+1:

Thanks for the short tut. Gave lots of ideas.

Bas,
Worry not about the fish. We are keeping them safe up here until you are ready. You are welcome to come up and borrow a few. We are having a bitter start to winter and ice fishing is ON :+1: Record salmon runs in nearly every river over the summer :+1:

Frenchy,
That TopMod is a great thing. I use it to make holes the easy way :+1:
