Hi,
I’ve had this issue with a couple of kitbash objs/fbx. Is there a way to resolve of fix the mesh? I’m also curious to why it happens. Any help would be appreciated!

Huh.
Does the file in question have UVs?
Hi,
This is info i have: Non subD 3D
formats included: .blend .FBX .obj
auto UVs are included in case if some renderer doesn’t have that.
I’m really unfamiliar with other 3d software. I am curious as to whether the it’s possible to resolve within zbrush itself. Worst case scenario I can use Blender to ‘fix’ it.
I won’t pretend to understand what’s going on here with your import issue. I’m assuming it doesn’t look like this in external applications?
But I’ll throw this out–most times I see that particular style of problem in any context, it has to do with UVs being laid out in a fashion that Zbrush doesn’t like --with the islands right against the edge of the map. You might try deleting those UVs before importing into Zbrush, and see if that fixes anything.
Also, you might try importing as OBJ (tool > import) instead of FBX. Or vice versa.
Otherwise, with repeatable technical issues, this should be reported to Pixologic Support, along with the info they need to replicate it.
Thanks for the advice! I’ll let you know if that resolves it!
