Kirouac's SketchBook

Hello,

Well, it’s my first post for my new sketchbook, i hope that it will be a good opportunity to enhance my skills and post some work often then usual.

Feel free to give comments, I better like someone that gives good critics then some one who say that it’s all good nothing to adjust… but sometime it’s cool to receive compliments .!

Here a deer that i begin not so long ago, i keep working, still tweeking the head and back legs.

Sorry for my english, trying to enhance this skill too .

Hope that some people will join my thread…

hi there, ill be following your steps man

for this first entry i think it looks good, my opinion is that u can maybe exaggerate a bit more the muscles definition, the part that need more this is the neck area, make it look more fit overall…but is a nice start :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

hey dokir good first post to start… what particular species are you going for on this because certain species have defining characteristics in there structure and forms also i recommend looking to your reference as much as possible and work the lowest subdivisions first… looking forward to where you take this piece love seeing animals on here…

as for sugestions i recommend putting more curvature in the front and back legs really pay atention to your reference when trying to get the likness of your subject this is why i recommend working on refining the lower subdivisions before going on to higher subdivision levels…the side profile is really good alot of the anatomy is there… all and all great first post looking forward to your progression…

thx for the suggestions, and have brought some change after reading your comments. Add curve in the front and back legs, more muscle in the neck area. I have also finish the back feets. Almost done, i’ll try to retopo my model in topogun or zbrush, didn’t decided yet.

For the race, i think my refs are virginia deers, but i’m not 100% sure.

i’ll try to update with a new model soon

Hey all,

It’s been a long time since I posted some modelling. I began to use sculptris since 2 week and find it really fast. A big thanks to DongHang on conceptart.org for his concept, really inspiring!

I have also open my new blog Blogspot and I’ll try to post more speed sculpt.

This one took me about 2hrs and I’m doing the retopo.

Critics and Comments are welcome!

Nice job! Keep up the hard work!

Thx for the encouragement RageNRock !

I try to keep the beat I took since the last 3 week and sculpt at least one model per week, since I’m not working as modeller, but as a TD sim guy  Btw I would like to be the modeller. Sometime simulation can be pain in the ass :). Sculpting is so relaxing

I’m working on a wolf sculpture, still Work in progress, have to work and find better proportion. I’ll post it today, when I’ll have some time to package it.

Sculpt Of this week. I keep working!!!
C&C are welcome !

Here my last speed sculpt. Learning anatomy, I’ll have to made some lips research and try to get different style. next time I will try the woman.

My last work, comments and critics are welcome for sure!

I tried to play with texture in Zbrush,I think it’s not bad for a first try.

really like it!! looking pretty bad a**! keep on the good work rollin!:+1:

For some reason my eyes makes it move, few sculpts has that effect on me, I guess you did something right.

Off-topic:
What software do you use to compress these as JPEG’s? I just noticed they do have some compression artifacts in them.

Thx for the good words guys!!

VictorCS: It’s a windows snip and I compressed it as jpeg in photoshop. I used 8 or 9 as quality setting. I go for the size instead of the quality. Maybe going with the snipping tool saved as jpeg, reedit in photshop and saved it again in jpeg make it lost a lot of quality?

Nice work. just love that shark.
