Keyshot Bridge Trial Lic Activation CRASHES Zbrush!

Today I installed ZB4R7 P3 along with Keyshot 32bit trial. I also registered for the trial license of Keyshot Bridge plugin and received my license file from Pixologic. However every time I attempt to import the license Zbrush crashes immediately…

Steps:
Launch ZB4R7 P3 32bit
Assign Keyshot as External Renderer
hit BPR, when License popup opens choose “Install My License”.
Zbrush then crashes every time saying “Abnormal Termination”

OS Win 8.1 Professional

Has anyone else experienced this? My Keyshot trial is ticking away on the 14 day demo period so I’d like to get this working asap.

Thanks

I can’t say what is going on, but because time is an issue and it’s an installation/activation issue, you should probably contact Support directly rather than waiting around to see if anyone has an answer here.

Why not try the 64-bit version of Zbrush and Keyshot?

Another possibility is to get a Keyshot trial directly from Luxion and use your current bridge to port over to that trial instead of the one you got from Pixologic. You probably would have to uninstall your current trial version first.

Luxion will offer a free trial of their software if you contact them. I was able to get a fully functional trial to test out before buying. They’re usually pretty flexible. They even offered to increase my time on my trial limit when I needed more time to use the program. My Keyshot trial gave me full access to all their features so just be aware the limitations may be different with a trial vs a licensed Zbrush version.

According to Matthew with sales it is a known issue and said support would send me a patch. I submitted a ticket this morning but still waiting to hear back.

Ok, Pixologic hooked me up a with a patch and I’m up and running. So far Keyshot is pretty neat but still not convinced it’s worth the $349 since I missed the boat on the bundle special. I’m an avid Vray user so that kind of makes it less attractive. The biggest hurdle for me is the $149 “Bridge” price since it’s essentially a GoZ plugin. I’d rather pay $149 for an upgrade to Zbrush that included an improved integrated renderer.

Checking with resellers now to see if anyone sells the bridge plugin for less. Then I might bite
