Is there an option somewhere to keep the default mid value of alpha settings to 50?
each time I load a new alpha to the xtractor brush it resets it back to 0, pretty annoying when you are using lots of alphas…

A setting of zero is the correct default setting and results in the most commonly desired traditional alpha behavior where black is zero and all sub-black values are positive. There is no way to change this default.
A script could be produced that automates the import and adjustment of the slider.
