This is driving me crazy. Dynamesh is great and all, but there is a problem I can’t solve.
I’m modeling a foot and I’m making the fingers. As you know, the foot fingers are very close to each other, so my problem is that as soon as I refresh the Dynamesh, my fingers are merged together in the resulting mesh. This is really annoying! 
I tried to set the smoothing to zero, but the result is the same, merged fingers.
Is there a way to tell zbrush to NOT merge the close polygons using Dynamesh?
