And here, Káru-M’Thal’s Story
Káru-M’Thal was not always this twisted creature of living copper and blazing crystals. Centuries ago, he was a noble man, a guardian of sacred volcanoes whose life changed the day he lost his beloved in a collapse he failed to prevent. Consumed by guilt, he allowed his heart to dry out like dead stone.
The gods, offended by his surrender to despair, punished him with a fate worse than death: to be cast into the blazing heart of the Earth , trapped among molten metals and unbreakable crystals. There, his human body dissolved and was reborn, hardened by ancient copper, deformed by pulsating quartz, and eroded by timeless solitude.
For ages he wandered blindly over mountains of burning coal and rivers of lava that reshaped him again and again, until he forgot his name, his face, and his history. His mind turned into instinct, roar, and elemental rage. Only one echo remained: the void where his human heart once beat.
But now, something on the surface has awakened him.
He rises from the depths with footsteps that fracture stone, guided by an impulse he cannot understand:
a final spark of humanity demanding to know whether he still deserves redemption… or if all that remains is to destroy what condemned him.
