…Ive decided to go back and try some new modeling in 3D Studio Max. I need to give zBrush a break for awhile. All this model loss is making me mad, and I just dont have the money to buy it. Dont worry though, Im not giving up completly, Im just taking a weeks break or so. I will be posting my 3D Studio Max projects/images in the Community Forum.
ok see ya in a week.
what do you like the best 3D Studio Max or ZBrush.
or do you like each in there own way liking better thing on one program then the other and if so what part.
i seen some of 3D Studio Max forum they pull off some GREAT Pic in http://www.renderosity.com
I like Studio Max better. You have more control over youre objects. If you drop an object, and start a new one, then want to further manipulate the first one you just have to click on it. Also, you have the ability to rotate the camera into any position (dont know if you can do this is Z), also you have a little more control over the lighting. 3D Studio Max takes a bit more patience to learn though. But once you do, you can make ANYTHING, even fully animate. I like total control of all elements at any given time.
I like zBrush better in the way of creating heads and characters, and zBrush has made me realize a few things that will GREATLY help me in 3DS Max. (In fact my next project in 3DS Max is a head) But I havent had much success in other modeling on zBrush (I do only have the demo though, and I have no idea what the full version allows, or contains apart from the demo).
