ZBrushCentral

Just made my purchase.

Hi all. I just purchased Zbrush. My heart is racing and I’m feeling kind of nervous or excited, I don’t know which. And I don’t know if it is because I just spent 600 bucks with one click or because I can sculpt on my computer and will learn to produce more work faster than I would be able to in clay. I feel like finally all that I ever wanted to sculpt in clay is now possible. I will post my work in this forum and hope for honest critiques, I can take it, and will take them as constructive criticism.

Welcome! Now go and make stuff. Don’t get frustrated and look at all the cool free tutorials. Here is one which will help you big time. It’s made with a slightly older version, but it;s still more than 90% spot on.

best of luck :+1: :+1: :+1:

Excelent investment… just like clay but without all the mess :D.

Welcome to the parallel universe of zBrush

Aweaome. Thanks for the welcome. I will definitely be watching the tutorials. I’m amazed at how small of a program it is. I watched the video interviews and was totally impressed. Though I could have used the money for my bills it didn’t hurt one bit to buy Zbrush.

Ouch, I forgot how boring it is to listen to Meats talk. Amazing and respected artist, but something about his voice just lulls me to sleep every single time

Boring voice or not, he’s a great communicator. Out of all the training videos I’ve seen, his taught me best.

I like Meats his voice. As a person who has not English as mother tongue I find him easy to understand

If you don´t already have, get a graphic tablet.
IMO it´s absolutely essential to digital sculpting.

I have an old Intuos II it’s the smallest one. Once I get the hang of Zbrush, and know what I am doing I will buy one a bit bigger. The one I have I believe is 3"x4 or something like that.
