I decided to work on a re-rendering of my “Drain Creature” image in POV-Ray.
I basically wanted to re-learn some stuff in POV-Ray that I had long since forgotten about.
I used an interior media texture to simulate the sub-surface scattering of the soap (think of a hollow object filled with a thick, white smoke or fog). I know the soap is too shiny, so I’ll have to re-work the specular settings. I also need to change the viewpoint a little.
