jpg file importing trouble, only for Mac???

Hi. It is a kind of jpg file importing trouble.
I tried to search troubleshooting but couldn’t. Finally I reached here to see many experienced and skilled ZBrushers!

I am asked this question from other ZBrush friend. Some jpg files can not imported into texture slot correctly.
Tried these conditions: (1) Copy and paste the jpg files into ZTextures folder. Sometime it is successful to import. But still we don’t know what is the reason not to import. (2) Copy and paste existing “good” jpg file e.g., bark17.jpg in ZTextures folder and using photoshop merge two jpg files at “good” bark17.jpg file.
Environment: MacOS Sierra 10.12.6 , memory 16GB, graphic ATI Radeon HD 4670 256MB, cpu 3.06GHz Intel Core i3. Not high-end machine but I think it is enough specification for such normal sculpting.

At my win 10, there is no problems about this “importing”.

I hope some advices from all. Thanks in advance.

Zbrush can be particularly picky with some file formats
Same JPEG file with jpg. ext. will import normally and with jpeg. ext not.
And since that different file extension came from old windows 3 letters limit. and mac doesn’t have it maybe that is problem here…

I’ve experienced problems with PCs complaining about jpg files saved from Photoshop on a Mac. Your experience with importing into ZBrush may be related. The Photoshop solution that works for me is to never use “Save As” when you have a Photoshop file you want to save as a jpg. Instead, use “Export –> Export As” and choose jpg as the file type.

I have the same problem both on pc and on mac. Version 4r7 trial. After importing the image to jpg I still have a dark background. It suddenly appears and always prepares the background for your work area. Yesterday it was still working and today it is not. For this I see that I have to click on the brush icons a bit higher because otherwise it does not work. What happened suddenly?

To Modos: Thanks for your comment. I will keep in mind about ext jpg and jpeg difference. I hope importing graphic file should be more stable.
To tommyboy: Thanks tommyboy for sharing your idea. But in his my friend case, he simply tried to use a jpg file downloaded from the web. Not processed by Photoshop.
To PPZ ORKALI: Sorry but what is your picture uploaded here?
