here is my project thread. i have a bit of a bad habit of never really finishing a project when i start it, and so i will post everything in here instead of starting new threads every time.
here is the peice i am currently working on, just a couple of hours last night modeling and doing a quick composit in photoshop.
needs some more work doing on it, then i will go into abit finer detail

nice, hope you do the suit. i was just thinking about john the other day whilst in the shower and how he liked to do papercraft.
Heres an update, got a spare half hour this morning so i tweaked the head abit to match the photo abit more, mainly areas around the ear and worked on the ear itsself. i worked abit more details into the head, mainly wrinkles and pores, but theres no clsoe up detail referance of john merrick so i am going to look at pictures of people with similar afflictions and and try and work some accurate detail in from them.
i have started work on the clothes and i will post them up soon, finding them every hard though, i originally did a mesh in 3dsmax but i didnt like it so i used the extract on the subtools to make the clothes. i will post both up so your opnions on them would be very much appreciated thankyou!

here is the first bit of his suit, its still at a low sub level, i gotta do a basic body for him so i can figure out how the clothes hang off the various afflicted areas, then when i have posed it i will work in the detail and get the overall proportions right and final posistion
Heres is what stage i am at so far, iv got all the elements done, i am gona just tweak them slightly to get them as clsoe to the pic as possible. gotta work some detail into the hands and onto the clothes get a bit of texture into them. i am not to happy with his head though as it doesnt quite resemble the pic, some areas i think need to be bloated up abit more.

i am gona do a few more render out of different materials aswell and post them up, possibly showing more of his body
