Hello! I used masking>hide unmasked>delete hidden to separate one of my subtools into two pieces. Unfortunately it resulted in a really horrible jagged edge. I know part of the problem is the subtool is perhaps not subdivided enough (although certain parts of it are plenty smooth), but even when I subdivide it more I’m still left with jagged edges that won’t be smoothed. Is there a good way to fix this problem?
I’d try using Tool: Geometry: Edgeloop Masked Border in the future. It will actually slice the edges along the mask, which will give you a cleaner silhouette/border vs just hiding whatever quads in a grid aren’t masked.
For now, if it’s too late to go back, try using Group Loops instead (you may have to tweak the polish a bit). This should give you a clean and polished inside, and you can delete the external edge loops it creates or keep them.
Thanks! I used the group loops and that did an acceptable job.
