Did you do work for someone that did not pay you? I have not worked for anyone yet but not getting paid is one of my worries. A while back a professional sculptor (clay) told me that if I planned to work as an artist I should be prepare to get ripped off.
Learned that trick. It’s called half up front with signatures on a contract 
I got the shaft on a larger job. The client business went under. Nothing one can do about that. I got half upfront. Usually the other half comes when the customer pays the agency. I got stuck January with 22K I can’t really enforce. Bunch of smaller jobs which summed up last quarter. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
