Is there something like "ZBrush for blender users", not about sculpting?

I’m back after 2 years I think, trying to learn zbrush again. Most of my difficulty is terminology differences and different software architecture. It would be nice of somewhere the typical misunderstandings one would encounter, coming from a 3d modelling program like blender/houdini/3ds max etc.

For example, the idea of a canvas, didn’t scream out to me that this is very different from how other software works. A “tool” is a mesh is a primitive is a polymesh3d. There are subtools, which are not separate meshes… If this difference were pointed out initially (maybe I missed it), it would have saved me so much time.

So, is there something like that somewhere? I searched and didn’t find it. Specifically, this is not about the differences between sculpting in zbrush and another program. The difference between zbrush and another program, where editing a mesh is one tiny part of the entire program.
