Is there any way to do a dyanmesh intersection of two sub tools?

Hi,

This page explains how to merge sub tools and subtract one from the other: http://www.pixologic.com/docs/index.php/Dynamesh_Additions. I would like to know how to get the intersection of two sub tools instead. Is there any way to do this? Using the intersection icon on the sub tool layer seems to have no effect.

Also the subtraction procedure seems needlessly complicated. Why do you have to click the subtraction icon on the sub tool layer and also color it with the dynamesh subtraction polygroup? It seems to me that doing just one or the other should be sufficient. Is there a way to submit a feature request for something like that?

Thanks,
-Joe

Sounds like you don’t want to use dynamesh and try unified meshes instead. That will allow you to use the intersection function.

I found the answer. Yes you can get the intersection with dynamesh. You need to press the ‘And’ button instead of control click and drag.
