Is there an actual use for booleans?

Is there a way in Zbrush that we can actually use BOOLEAN mesh as 1 subtool ? Like If I use 10 pieces to make one shape with holes and cuts and now I wanna commit to it and keep it as 1 piece mesh (subtool) is that possible ? I tried that MAKE BOOLEAN MESH button buit that button really doesn to absolutely anything so, does anyone know any hack how to make boolean 1 useful mesh ?

Thank you

Tool: Subtool: Make Boolean Mesh

This creates a brand new tool in the Tool palette that you then have to switch over to (it will have the ‘UMesh_’ prefix).

Hi.

Booleans won’t work with primitives. You need to convert them to Polymesh3d and activate the Live Boolean button (Up left over the canvas).

Hope it helps : )

Wow thanks guys. I think I always press MAKE POLYMESH 3D but if you noticed you can only do it once per session. For instance if you use a sphere and make it Polymesh 3D and want to Append CYLINDER and try to press Make Polymesh 3D they will both disappear from your document and project and be gone. So you can oly use it ona a very first primitive/ Maybe that’s a standard procedure Idk I am not big expert in Zbrush as of yet haha. Anyway, I re-insyalled my Zbrush and now I do see that extra mesh that appears when I press MAKE BOOLEAN MESH. Thanks for resolving it for me guys much appreciated.
