Is there a way to make new polygroups while directly using a brush?
For example while drawing with the claybuildup to automatically make a new polygroup?
Use an RGB colour with your brush, then in Polygroups, click “From Polypaint” and it will convert your RGB colours into polygroups.
Thank you!
EDIT: Is there a way to keep the surface of the main subtool untouched? For example if I do that and then isolate the “main” polygroup it won’t have any surface in that part? umm, I’m not sure if I can explain it… Here’s a picture:
For example I tried using this method to add a nose, however when I have the face isolated there’s a hole on that place where the nose was. Is there a way to fix this?

Hold down Ctrl+Shift and click on a blank part of the workspace to make the invisible polygroup visible again.
