is there a way to expand subpallet WITHOUT the subpallet moving?

hi,

so this might seem nitpicky but it really really bugs me that when i expand a long subpallet, the subpallet scoots upwards to compensate for the the entire pallet unspooling offscreen.

i would much prefer if the subpallet header that i clicked remained right under my cursor and the pallet is just allowed to expand off screen.

is there a setting where i can make that behavior happen?

in PREFERENCES > INTERFACE > AUTOCOLLAPSE

unintuively, turning that ON prevents the sliding behavior that i dislike.

EDIT: actually, the ONLY thing that button seems to do is to do what i want - to keep the palettes from sliding around upon open. it seems to not do what the docs say it does in any way whatsoever… weird.

but in any case, whether badly labeled or not, this button does what i want it to so please don’t change it! :slight_smile:

EDIT 2: haha, actually, it DOES do what it says it does in the docs… just not in TOOLS! for some reason, it works in all the other palettes but not in tools… but in tools, it creates a subpalette expansion behavior that i like… so again, bug or no, please don’t change! or if you do, add another button so that expanding palettes remain stationary.
