Is there a way to do this manually?

Hello to all.

After years of Sculptris, which I find a beautiful program, very easy to use but with too many limits, I started using Zbrush just few days ago. Unfortunately, it’s not as easy to use as its minor counterpart, and knowing programs like 3ds Max, C4D, 3D Coat and Sketchup did not help me.

However, Zbrush has some features that I want to learn to exploit, but I also want to continue using Sculptris, which is a fast and immediate program, and just yesterday I noticed that it is not always possible to import models to Sculptris from other programs due to various error messages (too many triangles connected to an edge (max 2), but casually, I also found that by importing some models, Zbrush sets up and automatically “prepares” the Sculptris model as follow.

Finally, by doing so, I can import the model on Sculptris. Unfortunately, this message is the result that I get happens “accidentally” and only with some types of models, and I’m not able to understand what features the imported model should have to make this happen, so I ask those who are more experienced of me, if you can please tell me how to manually access this setting.

Thanks so much.

Those are ngons, that are polygons with more than 4 vertices. Because Zbrush doesn’t support ngons, only quads and triangles, it needs to transform in any way.
The second option looks more restrictive, I would choose the first one. But double check your model, in some cases Zbrush simply deletes the ngos leaving holes.

Oh, thank you for the answer, I wasn’t counting on it anymore!

However, I am sure that my English is not great, but the meaning of the question was: how can I use this command manually? I mean, what voice in which menu should I choose to get this result manually? Because in this case, it is a message that appears from the program, but I have no idea how this command can be used by me manually.

I hope I have been more understandable.
