Is there a way to color pick from an image loaded into spotlight?

title pretty much says it all.
i use spotlight a LOT for reference pics.
trying to match the colors “by hand” from those images is a real pain.
picking colors with the eyedropper tool works on everything else in the interface, but the spotlight pics.
i’d really like it to.
anyone have the goods?

You need to have the Spotlight dial visible. Picking a color will then work, either with the ‘C’ hotkey, or click+dragging from the color selector.
