Hello and thanks. I had some system trouble and had to move around files and the OS. Anyways, I put all my zbrush files back in their folders, now it has taken over 12 hours to start. I had a file I moved from zbrush to unreal and that took 12+hours to load in there. So, i’m guessing I just need to wait. I was hoping somebody could confirm or deny my assumption.
I don’t think that’s normal at all. Can you give us more info on what you moved around?
Try removing your C:\Users\Public\Documents\ZBrushData folder. I had a similar problem and I had to uninstall zbrush and remove the C:\Users\Public\Documents\ZBrushData folder then reinstall and it fixed it.
Hope that helps.

i’m not familiar with the folders, is this like “delete system32”?
I had to image my os and reinstall it. but in that process I had to make it smaller. I made it smaller by moving my zbrush projects, tools, etc. to another drive. (as well as moving other non-zbrush related things). After reinstalling I moved all the projects, tools, etc. to their appropriate folders.
I took the project files out and saved meshes. Now its just the default files. The program is still not starting, or just churning away. I tried to uninstall it and reinstall, but it says it can’t uninstall, missing a .dat file. What should I do?
I reinstalled zbrush after backing up the files. seems ok now.
