Irritating random front-view snap when orbiting model

Hi Guys,

please, please help me figure this one out. This issue has been cropping up in every version of Zbrush I’ve used in the past 4-5 years, on multiple different PCs and with different Intuos tablets. I’ve searched all over for a solution, but no luck.

When free-orbiting around the model (not pressing Shift), I’ll always get one - just one -specific point on the tablet where the camera will randomly snap to front-view for as long as I drag over it. If I drag my pen back and forth, it will keep snapping - always to front-view, and always just as long as my pen is in that exact spot. Otherwise, the entire tablet surface rotates the view as expected.

This gets pretty irritating over time. It has no clear rhyme or reason and no clear solution.

Are you guys familiar with this? I’d appreciate any tips! Cheers.

Hi @Grimpkins

Zbrush will not snap a model during navigation rotation unless you’re holding down Shift. I am not aware of any way to make this happen. I would look to your tablet hardware for an issue.

Got the EXACT same issue, happens with mouse too. Very irritating…
