Invert visibility when whole document is filled by mesh

Hi,

Is there a way to invert the visibility on a polygon level when the mesh covers the whole screen and more than one group is still visible (with only one group visible, ctr/shift/tab does the trick).
Currently the only way I found is too zoom out until I have some empty background and do ctrl/shift/drag which is a bit cumbersome.
When I ctrl/shift/drag in the outer “navigation” border area, additional polygons get selected. Is there a button/hotkey or other option available to do this, either natively or via a script/plugin? While the masking sub-menu has an inverse button, there doesn’t seem to be one for visibility.

Hello Noren,

Yes. You can move the currently active selection or masking marquee by holding down the space bar and dragging. So in this scenario you would Shift+ Ctrl click drag out your marquee, then hold down the space bar to drag the marquee outside the canvas window where it won’t select any additional polygons and release it to invert the selection. It may help to scroll your canvas with the Document Scroll function slightly off to the side to give yourself a little extra “dead space” to work with.

Good luck! :slightly_smiling_face:
