Introducing Cherub(Ease of Use Animation Software)

Hi everyone,
we hope that this soft does for animation what Zbrush did for modeling
please read and have a look:

Metacrasher Inc. of New York proudly introduces to arists, modellers, animators of all levels it’s ease of use animation solution:

CHERUB

We designed Cherub to let animators simply animate characters immediately rather then having to set up complicated rigs and worry about vertex mapping and so on.
You simply import an .obj, draw a skeleton which has full body IK and start keyframing. After, you can export to your favorite 3D animation soft in a number of different formats.

When you order Cherub you also get and immediate Download license of Archipelis Designer and an upgrade(End of August) to MetaCrasher Designer:The free form drawing to 3D Model tool that automatically textures your newly created model and generates UV coordinated textures.

Anyone ordering cherub during Siggraph can purchase it from our website for almost half price. So that’s 2 softs for the price of one. 125 US Dollars.

You can have you license of Designer immediately and Cherub Version 1 will be emailed to you before the end of the month.

You also get some other added perks. Please see our website:

We look forward to seeing you all at Siggraph.

Best Regards,

The Metacrasher team.

Well, while we’re telling jokes:

I just re-invented the legendary ā€œdinglehopperā€! And, I am proud to announce that I expanded the already immense usefulness of this wonderful tool quite a lot.
Sorry, no siggraph here, but you can get your personal ā€œdinglehopperā€ for free (signed & limited edition/unlimited function) - just drop me a line!

Thank you for reading - and welcome to the wonderful world of the new, improved ā€œdinglehopperā€!!

We designed and coded it to make animating easier

Please notice: no protective measurements are needed to handle this extraordinary tool (the rectangular irregularities only protect minors).

And remember: it is free!!

well this looks like it might be fun and less of an headache for us amateur animators, however i’m not ready to spend $125 on software i can’t even try out first, do you plan on releasing a demo version?

Also your link for ā€œanimating the dancerā€ isnt working

Due to the lack of enthusiams concerning the all new dinglehopper, I screwed it up (literally) completely.

But - for all of the soon to be fans of the former dinglehopper: just stay tuned, there will be a new and even more mature product in the wink of an eye.

Just remember to check here often, at the friendly free advertising site of the month!

Well, maybe he should have posted here:

http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=38585

but really, Zaphod, we got your point already. Just looks like he
was trying to tap into a bit of the ā€˜non-traditional’ spirit that
Zbrush embraces, and this particular forum is for community
topics, of which based upon the wide variety of topics already
posted here, I find it a bit puzzling why you’ve chosen to slam
this particular one. Guess it’s the fact that he put the $ specifics
in there… <shrugs>

Perhaps Pixologic and the moderators are competent enough to
decide whether they want to tolerate this type of info on their site?

cheers.

WailingMonkey

No kind of ā€œslamā€, just thought to add a bit more fun.

It is correct that at first I thought that advertising anything (not only software) would be a bit misplaced in any kind of forum (that deals not with the product in question).
It makes a difference, if a user is giving his personal views of the parts of her or his toolbox, or if I try to make a buck selling the dinglehopper (would have been free).
I also did not question the degree of control an insights of the local moderator(s) here.

And finally: yes, the dinglehopper had been a fake, so - please - stop filling my mail box.
Thank you very much!

if you aren’t garen, you’re full of crap. the images on the page above were made by garen in the unity game engine and you’re claiming them as yours? sounds pretty flakey folks…

[edit: ok that was pretty accusitory. i should add that it is legal to use that demo if you’re using with unity. but i’ll leave my original post in case you’re not which i really hope is not the truth.]

Hi everyone,

We are working with the makers of the Unity Engine to incorporate our tools into that environment for the 3d Web spaces and the peer2peer aspect of our project. Our our project manager is Lars.

We showed the forest as an example of the web based environments and have full permission from unity3d to do so as we are working with them to add our creation tools and avatar tools to those environments to allow users to have 3d web galleries. please see this link:

http://unity3d.com/gallery/main/index.html

The forest is a great example of the quality of the engine which we are adding our tools to and then giving to our users to show their work. We never ā€œclaimedā€ anything except for our tools and we have a working relationship with Unity in Denmark.

we have a few announcements to make after Siggraph.

cheers

wonderful! my apologies again for being accusitory. knowing that brings a whole new realm of credibility to your site - and i’m really glad because cherub sounds great! to good to be true in fact which made me jump to conclusions in the first place  sorry again! look forward to hearing more.
