Insufficient relocated memory error

Hello, I’m having a problem exporting my model, which is 3.4mil polys large to .obj. When exporting, after a while I get an “insufficient relocated memory” error which loops itself, and I can only end zbrush via the task manager. Following a suggestion from a member here, I lowered my compact mem in zbrush from 1800 to 800 (I have 2gb of ram), but it gave no result. Help? :frowning:

I haven’t tried this myself yet but try exporting your model out in parts.

Hide the lower body,
create a poly group by going to Tool: Polygroups: Group Visible,
then export out the visible part of the mesh, Tool: Export (turn mrg on and grp off).
Then invert the visibility
Export out the other part of the mesh.

Can I ask why you are exporting a 3 million poly mesh?

Just a general FYI, the PC and Mac versions have different export routines, with the Mac version being optimized to allow the export of larger files. The PC will receive the new routines as part of version 2.5.

Even so, 3 million polygons is a huge file! Make sure that the drive where ZBrush is installed has a lot of free disk space, since ZBrush will need to do a lot of work with virtual memory to export large files.

Thanks guys, got it working  Of course you can Ryan, but I will not answer hehe

Hi, im having the exact same problem. Can you tell me how you fixed it?

Thanks
