Insufficient Core Memory?

If anyone can help me, that’d be great. I spent about 3 hours Texture Mapping a model, and while trying to save, I got an error message saying “Save Incomplete”. Eventually, ZB crashed out on me and I had to reboot my machine. Now when I try to load my model, I get this message “insufficient Core Memory” and ZB crashes. I checked this thread, but there seemed to be no resolove. My machine specs are:

Mac 10.4
dual 2g
4g of ram
ZB 2.0
256 VRAM
There is about 30 gigs left on my system hard drive

Is my model now lost into the ether?

Thanks for the help.

Hmmm… only thing i can think of is happening is you subdivided your model to millions of polygons and somehow managed to save it, but when you try and open it again because there are so many polygons your computer just crashes. only thing i can think of if you upload the ztool somone with a faster computer may be able to delete subd levels and send it back.

Hope this helps

If someone can please try to open this and get it to work, I’ll… Thank you a million times over !! Otherwise, it’s back to the modeling board. Could be right about the subdividing. I am new at modeling, so I tended to not do as much as I could on the lower levels. DOH! Plus, the tool is 58 mgs (unstuffed) with the texture saved in the file. Is that big?

[The Model](http://www.chrisdonham.com/other/wormmodel.zip) Thanks again. Cid

hmm… well it opened fine for me so i resaved it to another ztool so i hope this works for you.

Wow. Don’t know what happened there, but your file opened for me too!! Thank you so much. Wonder why that might have happened? Thanks again.

p.s.

Huh. I can get the tool to load just fine, with the texture and everything, which is good. But, when I click the lower Res button, ZBrush Crashes. Strange. Have you heard of any type of ZB crashing like this (or during renders) becuase of high-level RAM failure?

Thanks again. Gonna try to export and save the model w/o the texture to see if that helps.

Glad I helped you out, one thing i must recommend though, always save your tools under a diffrent name, such as worm 1 worm 2 worm 3 ect ect this way if your file become corrupted you will never have to start from the very begining.

well. the good news is, is that I had a model saved before i did the more intimate detailing, which I can just do over. But I was able to grab the texture from your file and place it on this model, which will save me a lot of time !

I do thank you!!
