Hi,
I tried searching for this, but could not come up with something.
Our Admin is trying to install ZBrush 3.1 in a multi-user environment with restricted user-rights. Now the problem is that he (the admin) can run ZBrush but standard users cannot, due to some licensing error, even if he gives all users complete access to the zbrush installation folder( which is actually not desirable). Has anyone a clue what is the problem here and/ or even better a solution?
Thanks in advance
buexe
System specs:
Intel Core Duo CPUs
Win XP SP2 32 bit
NVidia QuadroFX 1500 graphics cards
~ 2-3Gb RAM
and we have like 5 machines of this type
fresh install of zbrush ( yes we are noobs : )
Update: in the docs I found this
Installing ZBrush in a Network Environment
If you are installing and running ZBrush in a network environment where some users do not have full control of their computers you must be sure to run ZBrush as the intended user the first time it is started. Running as an administrator the first time ZBrush is started may cause permissions problems with the license files.
So does this mean a standard user ( just someone from this group) would have to start it for the first time and then all others from that group receive the same right?
