installation zbrush4r7 (student) on a new laptop (SOLVED)

Hi there.

Zbrush 4r7 student edition was installed on my laptop AND desktop. Everything was running fine. But my laptop was old, I bought a new one. I forgot to back up the 4r7 installer before the deactivation of the license. And I desinstalled completely zbrush from that laptop.

When I wanted to install 4r7 on the new laptop, from the link in my email, I was proposed 4r8 version, which I can’t install now, because school is not having 4r8 yet so there is some incompatibilities. I really want to use 4r7 on my new laptop.

(I am in touch with a Zbrush staff, which is awesome, but I try my luck here.)So I tried to copy the 4r7 installer I still have on my main computer, desktop, on a usb flash drive, and tried to run the installer.

I put the installer on the desktop’s laptop, right click on it, run as adminisrator. I tried to install on E drive. (I created a zbrush file for the program) but I have this error:

Zbrush is already installed in the specified folder. Overwriting it may cause conflicts for plugins
click the back button and choose another location or cancel and uninstall zbrush r47 before running
this installer again.
If you click next the installation will continue anyway but you do so at your own risk

I joined a screenie.

I don’t want to install it on C. I want all my softwares on E and Zbrush was never installed on this laptop!

Anything I can do? Is the installer the same on different computers? I don’t want to risk the installation on my main computer, I really need it for school!

I hope it makes sense. Thanks!

UPDATE! apparently, I posted on the wrong board. I found out the installer file saved on my main computer was OK to install zbrush 4r7 on my new laptop. Issue solved. It works. And my account displays 2 installations. Thanks.zbrush error.png
