InsertBrush UV Issue

Hi folks!
I’m still pretty new to ZBrush, but learning quickly thanks to the moltitude of resources available, but unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find any info on how to get around this “issue”, so I’m hoping for some guru help :).

Straight to the point:
I’m trying to creare some low poly hair strands for a character I’m working on, so I’ve create a new InsertBrush using a polymesh plane with UVs.
Here’s my brush settings:

I’ve then activated the Curve mode under the Stroke panel, and started drawing some test curves.

Now, looking at the UVs, I was expecting a single shell for every hair strand, but instead, every plane, it’s self contained into its own UV island.

How you can imagine, I need to set a texture with alpha infomations on each strand, and that’s impossible with this UV layout.

So my question is:
In this case, it is possible to create a new InsertMesh brush which merge UVs to create a single shell out from any curve?

Thanks in advance for any help.
