Increase surface detail

Is there a way in Zbrush to increase the depth of any existing surface detail?

In this example I just put some quick paving slabs style cracks on a sphere with alpha62. On the left the effect is far too subtle and it needs to be more like the image on the right. Is there an easy way to do that?

That’s easy you say, just increase the Z intensity!

Only this isn’t a simple sphere with one texture it’s a whole model with a whole load of textures and the director says the surface detail depth (contrast) needs to be increased.

Can you do that without having to set your hair on fire and re-do the whole surface of the model from scratch?
Cheers

As long as you don’t have to go to extremes, and the gap isn’t too wide, “Tool > Masking > Mask by Cavity” then “Tool > Deformation > Inflate”.

With custom cavity profiles and really really really small inflate values this may be the way to go

i usually create a layer, then use one of the Polish sliders in the Deformation pallet. then you put the layer into negative value.
you can also do similar using morph target and morph brush
