Is there a way around this? I am sculpting a bug like creature, the limbs are seperate subtools, if I sculpt around them on the body of the creature the normal direction of the brush is affected by these limb subtools. The only way around this so far as I am aware is to turn on ghost mode. Surely this is not the only solution? I dont understand why zbrush is evaluating the geometry of a seperate subtool whilst sculpting on another, maybe a limitation of the software but I hope not.
Just hide the others subtools…
