importing textures and applying on object

Hi Zbrush’s experts!
I lately did a head using BioVirtual’s 3DMe Now v2 and export it in .OBJ format in order to load in Zbrush and modify. I’ve got several .obj files with morph targets (at least I think they are MT) like “big smile”, “surprise” (there is a possibility to add it easily in 3DMe Now).
I’d like to ask you:

  1. I can import one .obj file with the head but how should I import a texture that was saved with it before (it’s big JPG format for main part and two smaller ones for eyes and teeth) and how it should be properly applied onto the head (I tried playing around with ‘3D COPY’ but I failed) ?

  2. Is it possible to store all morphs that were done in external program (I mean these numerous .obj files called “smile”, etc) into one big zbrush file and edit it just by switching morphs ?? It seems to me it is possible somehow in Zbrush…

To apply the texture, import the JPG and then flip it vertically. Select your model, select the texture to apply to it, and you should be good to go!

ZBrush only supports one texture per model. So for something like what you described, it’s necessary to export the object from your original program using groups – one for the head, one for the eyes, and another for the teeth. You can then apply the three separate textures to the appropriate parts. Then it’s just a matter of snapshotting each part into place in your scene.

As for morph targets, ZBrush does not currently give that capability. You can easily create and modify morph targets in ZBrush (and darned good ones at that), but you cannot switch between various targets like what you’re thinking of.

Thanks Aurick, it works!
You really are the person one can rely on here.
